New to the blog world...

So I am not even sure if anyone will want to read what I have to say or even if I have something worth saying but I love the thought of having something for Lily to read and see what our lives were like in her early years.

Anyone who is reading this probably knows us pretty well but I will give a quick rundown anyway.

Chase and I met in 8th grade.  I was 11 and he was 12.  I spent most of our 8th grade year trying to find him a girlfriend.  I have no idea why I did this but I was 11 so I didn't know any better.  The summer after 8th grade Chase and I spent almost every day at the local pool together with our siblings.  When we weren't at the pool we were talking on the phone.  Nothing actually came of this though.  We started high school after that summer and Chase and I barely saw each other because we didn't have any classes together.  That school year came and went and I dated a boy (not Chase) for a little while.  I remember the very first day of sophomore year.  I got off of the school buss and was walking across the parking lot towards the school and someone in a white car honked at me.  I couldn't tell exactly who it was but he was super cute.  Turns out it was Chase.  He kept asking me on a date but I kept blowing him off.  I finally said yes and we went on our first date and we haven't been apart since.

We graduated high school, went to Baylor (Sic'Em Bears!) and got married 2 months before graduating Baylor.  We decided to start trying to get pregnant after 3 years of marriage.  We weren't sure how long it would take but we wanted to make sure and get pregnant in 2010 so we started in June.  Apparently God knew we were ready because it only took one try and we were pregnant.  We were really nervous and excited to tell our family and we wanted to make sure and do it in a cute way so we went out to eat with each side of our families and after our meals we handed everyone their respective cupcakes.  Everyone, of course, was incredibly excited.

That is it for now.  Tomorrow I will post about Lily's journey out of in my belly, complete with her super stubborn sonogram pictures!

Sleep tight everyone!!
